Welcome

Welcome to the blog of CleanGear, Inc. We'll periodically update you as to what is happening in the world of cleaning sports, recreation and professional safety gear. That's right - everything from hockey gear to water sports, and fire and industrial protective gear.

Our business, located in Duluth, MN, was started in 2003 because there was a need to get this equipment cleaned and disinfected. Why? Three good reasons - get rid of the stink; make the equipment last longer; and most importantly keep the gear healthy to use. Search the web for MRSA staph infections in sports gear and you will see what we mean. Unfortunately there are kids (and adults) getting sick and in the most extreme cases dying from these infections. The staph lives on or in the gear, the kid uses the gear, and if they have a source of entry like a scrape, the staph can enter their bloodstream.

We use the Esport Wash System to effective eliminate bacteria, mold, fungus and all the other things that are eating away at the gear and making it stink and unsafe to use. The Esporta system is unique in that it was built to protect the gear during the wash process, use low wash temperatures, low pH detergents and disinfectants and effectively get deep into the gear and padding, including leather items. There is no other system that can clean as effectively. In other words, we're not just cleaning the surface, the dirt you can see, we're getting all the stuff you can't see as well.

Also important to note, this is a LAB TESTED wet wash process, NOT an ozone treatment. Your gear won't be smelling like a medicine cabinet after our wash and our effectivness is at 99.9997%. Lots of information on our process is found on our site www.cleangear-esporta.com.

So, we look forward to serving you and educating you on why you should clean your equipment. It's no longer cool to have the smelliest gear, or think you'll jinx your game by cleaning. Like we say in our ads, none of that will matter if you're dead.
